Terms of use
Effective: November 2, 2026
By using DrawBird, you accept these terms. We kept them short; please read them once.
1. The service
DrawBird is a free drawing game where the birds you draw fly in the same sky as everyone's birds. No account is needed; your browser makes a random device code. The service is provided as is, and uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.
2. Age
If you are under 13, use DrawBird together with a parent or teacher. Don't write your real name, school or contact details as your artist name.
3. Drawing rules
- Draw a bird. It's fine if it doesn't look like one, but the sky is for birds.
- Don't draw personal information (full name, phone, address, school), ads, links or QR codes.
- Don't submit drawings that are sexual, violent, hateful or aimed at someone.
- Don't submit someone else's copyrighted character or logo as your own work.
- Don't try to break the site, collect fake votes or submit automatically.
4. Rights to your drawings
Every bird you draw is yours. When you submit it, you give DrawBird a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to publish your drawing on the site (including pages that show ads), show it in rankings and on the "Birds of the week" page, and use it as a preview in share links. DrawBird does not sell your drawing, print it on products or use it outside the site. When you delete your bird, this permission ends too, and its copy on the server is deleted.
You confirm that the drawing you submit belongs to you and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
5. Moderation
Birds you send are visible to everyone right away. An admin looks at new birds every day and deletes the inappropriate ones. When needed, the birds of new artists can be put on approval before they are published. Inappropriate words in bird names, artist names and flock names are blocked automatically.
Every bird can be flagged with Report. A bird that gets three reports (two on its first day) comes down from the sky and is reviewed by the admin. Birds that break the rules can be deleted without warning; a device that repeatedly breaks the rules can be blocked from submitting.
If you think a drawing infringes your rights, write to us through the contact route below with the link of the bird; we will review it and remove it.
6. Source code
DrawBird's code is open under the AGPL-3.0 license. This license is for the code; it does not cover users' drawings. The "DrawBird" name and logo are not granted by this license.
7. Ads
To stay free, DrawBird may show ads in the future. When ads are added, the privacy page will be updated and cookie consent will be asked for where required.
8. Liability
The person who draws is responsible for users' drawings. To the extent permitted by applicable law, DrawBird is not liable for damages arising from interruption of the service or loss of data.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated; the date is written at the top of this page. For questions, reports of rights violations and suggestions, you can write on GitHub.
