Great tit

A small bird with a black head and white cheeks that goes around with a black tie on its yellow chest. One of the most frequent visitors to bird feeders.

That black tie is thick in males and thin in females. And females choose males with thicker ties more often. Style matters in the bird world too.
Its song is one of the ones you hear most often in spring. It repeats two notes over and over: "tea-cher, tea-cher". Some people call it a saw sound.
A pair of great tits carries thousands of caterpillars in a few weeks while raising their chicks. You can't ask for a better helper for gardens and fruit trees.
They nest in tree holes or in nest boxes. If you hang a nest box with a 28–32 mm entrance hole in your garden, you might catch their interest.
To draw it in DrawBird
Follow the sparrow lesson. Make the head black, cheeks white and chest yellow, and draw a black line down the middle of the chest. Make the back olive green and the wing gray-blue.
